Overview

Loans are subject to a myriad of federal lending compliance requirements, though which rules that apply will depend on several factors including: the purpose of the loan (consumer, business/commercial, or agricultural purposes); whether the loan is closed-end or open-end (revolving lines of credit); or whether the loan is secured by a dwelling or real property.

This complexity leads many employees to become confused as to what disclosures need to be provided and what determinations are to be made, leading to violations, enforcement actions, and civil money penalties.

Join us for an interactive and engaging program where we will look at compliance from a different perspective. Understanding the technical compliance requirements is important but how do these requirements translate to the products you offer?

Learn about the compliance expectations through straightforward lending scenarios and product discussion. For example, you originate a consumer purpose loan that is not secured by a dwelling or real property. What are the considerations, requirements, and obligations for origination and servicing?

By presenting the basic types of loan products that institutions offer and concentrating on which regulations apply to a product, this seminar provides a valuable tool to those in the lending area to make lending compliance more accessible and intuitive to an institution’s processes.
