SUMMARY - 2026 CanWest Veterinary Conference

The CanWest Veterinary Conference is an annual event hosted by the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA) that takes place at the stunning Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in the heart of Alberta’s beautiful mountain parks.

CanWest is available to veterinary professionals (veterinarians, veterinary technologists, practice staff and students), invited guests and exhibiting/sponsoring partners only. It is not open to the public at large or non-exhibiting* industry companies.

*Industry representatives with companies that are not sponsors or exhibitors at CanWest 2026 may not attend the Trade Fair to network and conduct business. This is to ensure paying exhibitors and sponsors get a fair return on investment and access to conference attendees.

Pre-registration closes Oct. 9, 2026, 12 p.m. (noon) MT.

Can't make the pre-registration deadline? On-site registration is available at the conference pending session availability.

All travel reservations must be made directly through the hotel's online booking link or by phone.

No other housing company, travel agent or third-party agency is authorized to place hotel reservations on behalf of the the CanWest Veterinary Conference or the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA).

ABVMA has been informed of third-party re-sellers contacting CanWest attendees to sell them rooms at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel.

CanWest is not affiliated with any third-party re-sellers, nor do we endorse them. Also, please be aware CanWest does not share contact information for any sponsors or delegates with external third-party re-sellers. Re-sellers use information on public domains to track searches and reach out directly to potential consumers. Some of these re-sellers are legitimate and some are not. Even legitimate re-sellers will mark up the room price.
