ELITE Training Session #5 - Creating Inclusive Environments

UDL in Action: Creating Inclusive, Sensory-Friendly Early Learning Environments helps providers understand learner variability, sensory processing and regulation, and the ways classroom design can affect participation, behavior, engagement, learning, and social interaction. Participants will use Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to identify barriers before they become participation or behavior challenges and apply practical supports across the environment, routines, schedules, materials, communication, and response options. The session will connect inclusive design to sensory-friendly practice, family and specialist collaboration, and realistic action planning for early childhood settings.
