Why Attend
For over a decade, the Credit Union Leadership Symposium has been a beloved event for hundreds of credit union leaders from across the country.
“It’s the kind of event that keeps you coming back.”
“If you’re in a leadership role at a credit union, this should be a must-attend conference.”
This is the feedback we often hear from our attendees. But why do they keep coming back? What is it about this event that makes it so noteworthy?
Here are the most popular “whys” we often hear from our frequent flyers. What’s your Symposium why?
1. Thought-Provoking Education
Do you know what “symposium” actually means? Each dictionary offers a slightly different definition, but the gist is this: It’s an occasion where people who have knowledge on a particular subject gather to discuss that topic and share ideas. Of course, Alloya’s Symposium is geared towards leadership in the credit union movement.
To that end, we invite a diverse lineup of speakers to share their knowledge with our attendees. Over the years, we’ve had big-name celebrities share their success stories, like Super Bowl-winning coach Mike Ditka, legendary boxing icon Sugar Ray Leonard, Shark Tank star Daymond John, NFL legend Peyton Manning and personal finance guru Suze Orman. We’ve had industry mavens share their insights, like AI influencer Allie K. Miller, technology strategist Crystal Washington and credit union advocate Jim Nussle. We’ve had subject matter experts, including some of Alloya’s own, discuss topics like faster payments, capital markets, small-dollar lending, employee engagement, marijuana banking, digitalization, the economy and more.
This year, we’re excited to welcome back nationally acclaimed economic Dr. Elliot Eisenberg! We are also looking forward to Generational Expert Phil Gwoke and many more to take our stage.
We’d be awfully surprised if you don’t walk away with great ideas to take back to your credit union!
2. Networking Opportunities
So we know the Symposium is about idea-sharing, but it’s more than just our speakers that have brilliance to share. Alloya serves over 1,300 credit unions across the country who collectively serve over 30 million natural person members. The credit union movement is built on the Power of Cooperation, so we build networking opportunities into the event agenda to give attendees ample time to connect and collaborate with each other.
As always, attendees will also have the opportunity to network with each other and members of the Alloya team over meals, between sessions, during outings and our Alloya & Partners Meet & Greet!
3. Memorable Experiences
The Symposium has evolved into a roadshow over the years, traveling from Chicago to Las Vegas to Boston, and now back to Nashville. While the destinations may change, the top-tier experiences the Symposium includes never cease to wow! Attendees have enjoyed outings at a renowned art institute, world-famous aquarium, state-of-the-art NFL stadium, panoramic skyscrapers and iconic restaurants.
This year, attendees will be treated to a live show at the historic Grand Ole Opry, a memorable evening of networking and football at Alloya's Football Night at SkyDeck on Broadway!
