This two-hour training session is open to friends and family of SickKids patients who are getting ready to take their child home or are being followed in one of our out-patient clinics.
During the class you will learn specific techniques for your child's age group (infant, child or teen)
- How to do a one-person rescue
- How to do a two-person rescue
- How to help your child if they are choking
Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will be practicing skills that require kneeling, bending, standing and lifting. If you have any physical conditions that might prevent these activities, please let us know in advance or tell your instructor. Also please tell your instructor if you are allergic to latex.
Due to Health & Safety concerns infants and young children are not permitted into the CPR Training Room. Older children (10 years +) are welcome to sign up for the CPR class as an active participant and are more than welcome to attend a CPR session.
