From occasional to routine: Integrated IVUS, physiology and Co-registration in daily PCI practice, 1 and 2 December - Verona, Italy

1 December 2026 – 2 December 2026

Course description

This practical, case-based course is designed for interventional cardiologists who use IVUS and physiology selectively but have not yet integrated these tools consistently into daily practice.

While many operators understand the theoretical principles of intravascular imaging, physiology, and Co-registration, translating knowledge into routine workflow remains challenging. This program focuses on bridging that gap — supporting participants in moving from occasional use in simple cases toward confident, structured application in everyday PCI.

Course objectives

By the end of the 2-day program, participants will be able to:

•Select appropriate clinical scenarios for IVUS and coronary physiology use in routine PCI.

•Apply a structured, step-by-step workflow integrating physiology, IVUS, and Co-registration into pre-, intra-, and post-PCI decision-making.

•Interpret IVUS findings to guide lesion preparation, stent sizing, optimization, and complication management.

•Perform and interpret physiology assessments, including pullback analysis and focal vs. diffuse disease differentiation.

•Use Co-registration and SyncVision to correlate anatomy and physiology for precise target selection.

•Integrate imaging and physiology efficiently without significantly prolonging procedure time.

•Apply structured algorithms in moderately complex cases (long lesions, bifurcations, left main).

•Develop a personal implementation plan to transition from selective to routine use in their own cath lab.
