Join other legal career professionals on November 9-10, 2026 from Noon to 5:00 pm ET to become certified in Mental Health First Aid. Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. The training provides the skills needed to connect with and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and direct them to the appropriate care. These skills are essential in the legal industry where the stigma around mental illness and addiction continues to be strong. Registration includes a hard copy manual that will be shipped to participants before the start of the course.

You will learn:

  • Common signs and symptoms of mental illness.
  • Common signs and symptoms of substance use.
  • How to interact with a person before and in crisis.
  • How to connect the person with the help they need.
  • How to integrate self-care into helping others.

Participants will complete a two-hour, self-paced online course and then participate in two afternoons of live virtual training.  After completing the program, you will be certified in Mental Health First Aid and ready to help your co-workers, friends, and family.
