WELCOME
This Joint Workshop on initiatives of low dose research coordination co-organized by EPRI and its IDEA network and by the NEA and its High-Level group on Low Dose research (HLG-LDR) continues collaboration within both organizations in a series of workshops and webinars on low dose research.
The International Dose Effect Alliance (IDEA) initiative was started in 2016, and since then, provides the opportunity for low dose radiation research organizations and individuals around the world to meet to exchange information on programs, priorities, and strategic research.
The HLG-LDR supports radiological protection policy, regulation, and implementation choices by improving the effectiveness and efficiency of research through global networking for the co-ordination of ongoing and future low-dose research projects.
As in previous workshops, the event will include regional, national and international low-dose research co-ordination initiatives from Europe, Asia, and North America. To this end, a Scientific Committee has been convened to define goals and scientific scope, counting with the participation of ALLIANCE (Europe), COHERE (Canada), DOE (US), EPA (US), EURADOS (Europe), John Hopkins (US), MELODI (Europe), PLANET (Japan).
The meeting will be open and held in-person with remote participation also available and will allow participants to share and gain knowledge about the current international research in the area of Low Dose Effects and opportunities for cooperation and collaboration.
