Stanford Hospital Medicine Privacy Notice
This privacy notice explains how Stanford Hospital Medicine collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information from your registration for the Perioperative Medicine Symposium via CVENT.

When registering for the event, Stanford University Hospital Medicine collects the following data about you:
· Name
· Email Address
· Credit Card/Payment information
· Any relevant student/university identification numbers (if available)
Use of Personal Information
We may use this information to:
1. Process your event registration for the event described;
2. Detect, investigate, and prevent activities that may violate our policies, pose safety issues, or be fraudulent or illegal;
3. Compile and share de-identified aggregated data.
4. Contact you in the future about upcoming events or Hospital Medicine updates if you opt-in to be contacted in the future.
Data Storage and Retention

Personal information that you provide to us may be transferred and stored in the United States (U.S.) or other countries where applicable data protection laws may differ from those of your home country. We engage third party email marketing platforms (e.g. MailChimp, Constant Contact) to process your Personal Information on our behalf for the purpose stated above.
Stanford does not sell any Personal Information, including Personal Information of minors, to third parties for their use in direct marketing, advertising, or promotion of their products or services.
Our service providers are required to comply with applicable data protection laws and Stanford's data protection standards under the terms of agreement with Stanford University.

If you don't agree to the changes, then you can always stop using our services, delete your account and stop giving us any more personal information. Where we are required by the applicable privacy laws, we will also seek your consent to any material changes that affect how we use your personal information.
