DACUM:

DACUM, an acronym for Developing a Curriculum, is a quick, low cost and efficient method of analyzing jobs and occupations that has been used worldwide for more than 40 years.  A job analysis identifies the duties and tasks that experts in a given job or occupation perform.  During a job/occupational analysis, 5-12 subject matter experts in the job or occupation being analyzed work with a trained facilitator to identify all the major duties of the job and the tasks that make up each duty.  When a job analysis is complete, the information can be used to develop or update competency-based training programs or curricula, identify competencies to be tested when creating a certification, capture the expertise of subject matter experts leaving the workforce, create or update job descriptions, and develop job-specific performance appraisals.  A typical DACUM workshop can be completed in two days.  Our training program to become a qualified DACUM facilitator is five days.  On the last two days of the training, you will be provided an opportunity to conduct an actual DACUM workshop under our supervision and expert coaching.
