Build your institution's data capacity. Leave with tools you can use

Complete College America's Data Institute is a practitioner-focused, working event designed to help postsecondary institutions strengthen their data infrastructure across three core areas: foundational skills and knowledge, data accessibility and visualization, and cultivating a culture where evidence drives decisions.

This is not a passive conference. Teams arrive ready to work and will leave with practical frameworks and real progress on data challenges that matter to their students and campuses.

October 7 is a travel day, with an optional opening reception in the evening. The institute begins the morning of October 8 with a foundational session on Data Governance, a welcoming entry point for teams building their data practice from the ground up. The remainder of the day, along with the full day on October 9, is dedicated to breakout sessions and team action planning time. Breakout sessions on October 8–9 offer focused, deeper-dive content on data governance, dashboard design and creation, and creating a data-informed culture.

This institute serves as the kick-off to a longer period of technical assistance. Following the event, institutions will have the opportunity to continue their work with providers through one-on-one coaching.

Who should attend:

  • Institutional Research staff
  • Office of Information Technology
  • Student success, advising, or enrollment personnel
  • Any relevant staff involved in the Accelerator project

Space is limited. We are accepting teams of 4–5 participants, including a mix of decision-makers and practitioners — participants should come ready for a hands-on, working event.
