2026 Families in Business Conference

After a one-year hiatus, we’re excited to welcome back the Families in Business Conference this fall!

The 11th annual conference will bring together students, family business owners from a wide range of industries, and leading academics and practitioners for a day of learning, conversation, and connection. The conference will take place in person on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Statler Hotel on Cornell University’s Ithaca campus. We look forward to welcoming familiar faces and new ones alike for an inspiring day exploring the unique dynamics and future of family business.

On Saturday, October 24, we are pleased to host the second NEXGENS Conference. Inspired by the Family Business Alliance, NEXGENS (the National Exchange for the Generational Enterprise Network of Successors) is a first-of-its-kind national student organization launched at Texas Tech. It is designed to unite the next generation of family business leaders. By bringing together students across the country from family business backgrounds, the program strives to build lifelong networks that support continuity, innovation, and legacy in family firms. NEXGENS membership is free and open to U.S. university students. Membership is lifelong, including after graduation. Please apply using this link if you are not yet a member and would like to attend the conference.
