The Orange County Department of Education is proud to host the 2027 Orange County Counselor Symposium on February 9, 2027, at the Hilton Costa Mesa in Costa Mesa, California. This year’s tentative theme, “Be the Light: Every Student, Every Story,” highlights the powerful role counselors play in illuminating pathways of hope, connection, and success for every student they serve.

The symposium continues to offer a dynamic and engaging experience through a variety of session formats designed to inspire learning, collaboration, and practical application:

  • Traditional Presentations: Structured sessions exploring timely and relevant topics in school counseling.
  • Workshops: Interactive, hands-on learning experiences that foster deeper engagement and skill-building.
  • Panels: Collaborative discussions featuring diverse perspectives and opportunities for real-time Q&A.

In addition, we are proud to feature the Counselor Award Recognition Ceremony, celebrating outstanding counselors who have made a meaningful impact in their schools and communities. Join us as we honor their dedication, leadership, and commitment to supporting student success across Orange County.
