1. On-site Pre-Inspection Infection Control Assessment and Review
Description: Using the updated 2024 ODQ Guidelines for Infection Control and best practice as references, we will visit your practice and assess your dental clinic by auditing policies and procedures, education and training, record-keeping, and the physical attributes of your dental clinic, including your sterilization centre.
Through consultation with you and your staff, we will provide verbal as well as in-depth written recommendations and an action list that will help to ensure that you comply with the current ODQ Guidelines in a manner tailored to your practice.
Consulting Objectives:
✔ Evaluate compliance with the 2024 ODQ Infection Control guidelines.
✔ Identify necessary modifications to clinic processes, protocols, and layout.
✔ Equip your team with knowledge and tools for best sterilization practices.
✔ Provide practical strategies for improving infection prevention and control measures for your clinic.
Consultation Format/Duration: 4 hours (On-site)
Bilingual: French or English
On-site sessions Availability: Fridays (morning, afternoon or evenings sessions) and Saturdays (morning or afternoon sessions)

2. On-site Stericentre Assessment and Review
Description: Using the updated 2024 ODQ guidelines for sterilization and best practice as references, we will visit your practice and assess your reprocessing area with respect to your current layout, workflow, processes, equipment and sterilization monitoring.
Through consultation with you and your staff, we will provide verbal as well as written recommendations that will ensure that you comply with the current ODQ Guidelines in a manner tailored to your practice.
Consulting Objectives:
✔ Assess whether your stericentre layout, workflow, equipment, and monitoring meet the ODQ sterilization requirements.
✔ Identify areas for improvement and necessary modifications to ensure compliance.
✔ Equip your team with knowledge and tools for best sterilization practices.
✔ Provide practical strategies for improving infection prevention and control measures for your stericentre.
Consultation Format/Duration: 3 hours (On-site)

Wendy Somerville, MSc
Ms. Somerville is an infection control professional with more than 20 years of experience who is passionate about helping dentists and their staff find practical, safe, and sustainable ways to apply recommended infection control protocols and procedures to their practice.
Since 2009, she has been Infection Control Professional and faculty lecturer for the undergraduate and residency teaching programs as well as the dental clinics affiliated with the McGill Faculty of Dentistry and Oral Health Medicine.
