IB Foundations Professional Development Bunkyo: Online Training Programme

IB Foundations is a professional development programme that helps Bunkyo-based educators deepen their understanding and practice of IB approaches to teaching and learning. Delivered through a blended model of live online sessions and guided asynchronous learning, the programme provides participants with practical strategies, reflective opportunities, and access to IB-designed content. It aims to build confidence and capability in applying IB principles within the local school context, while fostering collaboration and shared learning among educators. 

The programme begins with three core topics designed to establish foundational understanding and support classroom application: 

• Topic 1: Inquiry – December 22-24, 2026 
• Topic 2: Assessment – February 22-26, 2027 
• Topic 3: Conceptual Understanding – March 11-15, 2027 

Each topic consists of three synchronous online sessions hosted on Zoom. Supplementary materials will be posted on Moodle. Upon registration, participants will receive access to the Moodle learning platform, where they will be able to engage with materials and fully participate in the programme.
