Please join the Intellectual Property Practice Group and Cowan, Liebowitz & Latman P.C. for IP Protection in the Digital Millennium: A Y2K Rock CLE with a Live Band!
This CLE covers the basic of trademark and copyright protection in the online era, accompanied by a live band playing thematic rock, pop and emo hits from the turn of the digital millennium. You will learn about:
· The constitutional and statutory underpinnings of trademark and copyright law
· The way that IP rights can overlap in complex licensing agreements
· The USPTO trademark registration and examination process
· The factors that go into a trademark likelihood of confusion determination
· How rights owners can protect their name, image, likeness and legacy
In addition to learning all this, you should attend for at least 3 more reasons:
• For each attorney who attends the program, CLL will donate $20 to Steve Van Zandt’s TeachRock Foundation.
• CLL will auction off a Fender guitar signed by Steven Van Zandt, member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul, and star of The Sopranos.
· We will play name-that-tune and you can win a JBL Bluetooth speaker
