NYSUT – A Union of Professionals is pleased to announce and invite you to the annual Regional Conference for Retiree Councils 7 and 8. The conference is on Wednesday, September 30th, from 8:30am to 3:15pm at the Doubletree by Hilton, 6301 Route 298, East Syracuse.

The day includes two general sessions and two mini-sessions. Our speakers include Greg Olsen, Acting Director NYS Office of the Aging; Barry Kaufmann, President NYS Alliance for Retired Americans; Carrie Andrews, Director of Constituency Programs and Services at NYSUT; Ron Gross, NYSUT Second VP; Regent Patrick Mannion; Paul Farfaglia, ED 51 Director; Maura Przybylek, NYSUT Member Benefits Rep.; and Christopher Colabello, NYSUT Regional Staff Director. As we remain committed to our political advocacy, our local PAC, VOTE-COPE, and legislative representatives will share important strategies and ask for our activism. Special guests include Viri Pettersen, AFT’s Retiree Rep. and other local members of the NYSUT Board of Directors. The day will conclude with an engaging closing celebration.

Participants will select two mini-sessions from the workshop offerings. There will be information tables to visit throughout the morning with handouts from NYSUT and local community services.

A continental breakfast and buffet luncheon are included in the non-refundable conference cost of $48.00 per participant.
