About This Course
Foundation II is a comprehensive, hands-on program designed to build clinician confidence in the treatment planning and execution of implant-supported overdenture therapy for the edentulous patient.
This course takes participants through the complete clinical workflow—from patient evaluation and restorative-driven implant planning to implant positioning, surgical sequencing, attachment selection, and delivery of the final overdenture.
Through interactive instruction, case-based discussion, and hands-on exercises, participants will develop a practical, predictable approach to incorporating overdenture therapy into everyday clinical practice.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate edentulous patients for implant-supported overdenture treatment.
- Develop a restorative-driven treatment plan before implant placement.
- Determine appropriate implant number, position, spacing, and distribution.
- Understand surgical and restorative sequencing for predictable outcomes.
- Identify key anatomical and prosthetic considerations when planning the edentulous arch.
- Select appropriate restorative components and attachment systems.
- Understand abutment selection, restorative space, and prosthetic requirements.
- Apply clinical protocols for overdenture pickup, delivery, and maintenance.
- Recognize and troubleshoot common surgical and restorative complications.
