Transform your landscape into a watershed-friendly habitat that supports wildlife and helps protect Pennsylvania's streams and waterways. The 2026 "Watershed-Friendly Native Tree and Shrub Fundraiser Sale," the seventh annual fall fundraiser for the Penn State Extension Master Watershed Steward Program, offers 24 species of native trees, shrubs, and woody vines to enhance your property while benefiting local ecosystems. Choose the pickup location most convenient for you from 25 sites across the state. Proceeds support Master Watershed Steward projects and educational programs in the selected region, including stream restoration efforts, tree plantings, youth education initiatives, and other community-based conservation activities.

Planting native trees and shrubs enhances biodiversity while protecting local streams and improving water quality. A variety of native species are available to meet different landscape needs and make a valuable addition to your property.

Plant Availability

  • Species and available quantities vary each year based on nursery stock availability, growing conditions, and the anticipated fall condition of plants from a Pennsylvania-based nursery
  • Plants in 1-gallon, 2-gallon, and 3-gallon containers may be purchased individually or in bundles of 3three at a discounted price
  • New this year, two species are available as container seedlings and sold in bundles of five

Pickup Information

  • Select the pickup location most convenient for you during registration
  • Any plants not picked up by the date and time listed for your selected location will be donated
  • Refer to the site-specific pickup instructions and map document for additional details
  • Due to variations in planting conditions, site characteristics, and plant care, no guarantees or refunds will be provided after plant pickup

How to Order

  2. Once you've selected the items you'd like to purchase, click the Order Now button.
  3. Complete the Trees and Shrubs Order Form, selecting the quantities of each item you wish to purchase.
  4. Choose the pickup location that’s most convenient for you.
  5. To complete your order, provide payment (if required), and submit your form!
