Learning First: Innovation, Access, and Human Connection
The Conference on Instruction and Technology (CIT) brings together educators, technologists, administrators, and instructional leaders from across SUNY and beyond to explore the evolving landscape of higher education. This year’s theme, “Learning First: Innovation, Access, and Human Connection,” invites participants to focus on how students learn as we continue to refine our instructional and technological practices.
Our five tracks emphasize different aspects of innovation, access, and human connection. As public institutions, we share a mission of providing instruction of the highest quality with the broadest possible access. Meeting that mission requires building relationships with students and colleagues, using evidence-based teaching practices, and continually adapting and reinventing our professional identities. Participants are invited to engage in dialogue, share their experiences and scalable models, and envision future states that keeps students and communities at the center.

CIT is SUNY’s largest and most prominent event on instruction and technology, providing a forum for faculty, instructional support professionals, and policymakers to present, discuss, and explore innovative avenues for integrating technology into the teaching and learning environment.
All SUNY campuses, state-operated, statutory, and community colleges are invited to submit abstracts to present at this conference. We welcome proposals from outside the SUNY system as well.
