Our upcoming Racial Justice Conference - BIPOC Love is a space for Black, Indigenous, People of color (BIPOC) from across our union to come together, build power, and strengthen community across our union. This is our union’s first year hosting this Racial Justice gathering, and it’s an exciting opportunity to connect with other union leaders and organizers from across the region, with a focus on our BIPOC members. This event is part of our union’s commitment to become an Anti-Racist Organization and to center Racial Justice.
In order to be a stronger union and for all workers to win, SEIU Healthcare 1199NW is committed to building unity in a way that values our differences, challenges our biases, embraces diverse perspectives, cultivates new ideas and leaders, and creates an honest space for us to hold each other accountable to our vision to become an anti-racist organization. We want to make sure our union is a where everyone feels they belong.
Join your fellow BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) delegates and union leaders as we build relationships, share strategy, grow our union and strengthen our vision for a union where everyone belongs. Cultural attire is highly encouraged!
