About this webinar

Minimally invasive dentistry (MID) is a concept developed since the 80s to minimize collateral damage and morbidity to the surrounding biology with traditional treatment. Concepts such as microsurgical incision design, tunnelling, papillae preservation, micro instrumentation, flapless techniques and magnification have all furthered our quest of atraumatic surgery.

But none have completely absolved the repercussions of a MECHANICAL approach; nor has the surgeon's individual dexterity been quantified or qualified let alone documented. The correct laser wavelength allows surgeons to "ablate or dissolve" mineralized and non mineralized organic tissue 25um per pass in a NON contact manner via laser energy carried within a propelled water spray.

The spray is the "digitized" removal of organic tissue behaving like a microscopic power washer. It is THE most minimally invasive surgical tool for incisions, tunnelling, flapping, extraction, socket debridement, degranulation and biofilm removal off roots and implants. It equalizes the surgical "touch" between surgeons and results in minimizing the collateral effects of trauma and bleeding, thus promoting faster healing and less pain for patients who will comply with treatment without fear of morbidity and pain.
