SHOWCASE YOUR B.C. - MADE FOOD AND BEVERAGE PRODUCTS

Trade and Invest British Columbia is pleased to invite B.C. food and beverage companies to join our delegation to Expo ANTAD 2026.

By exhibiting in the B.C. booth in the Canada Pavilion or participating through our Walking Programme, B.C. companies will be positioned to build relationships with leading Mexican retailers, engage in B2B meetings, and expand their understanding of this high‑growth market with support from Trade and Invest BC (TIBC) and the Trade Commissioner Service (TCS).

EVENT OVERVIEW

Dates: May 19–21, 2026

Show Hours: 11:00–19:00 

Location: Expo Guadalajara, Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico

Why this show? Expo ANTAD is the largest retail-focused tradeshow in Mexico, bringing together over 52,000 professional visitors from 70 countries and more than 1,800 exhibiting companies across approximately 52,000 m² of exhibition space. It offers direct access to retail and food service buyers, distributors, and importers.

On‑floor access to buyers. Participating companies gain direct visibility with buyers hosted on the show floor by top retailers like Soriana, Walmart, Chedraui, La Comer, H-E-B, Casa Ley, and more.

B.C. PARTICIPATION STREAMS

We are recruiting up to 8 BC companies via two participation options:

1) Co‑Exhibitor (3 companies)

Includes:

  • Dedicated counter/display in the Canada Pavilion (lockable counter with logo, product display, wastebasket, basic electricity)
  • Shared meeting space
  • Two exhibitor badges (early access to show floor)
  • Virtual market and in-person briefings
  • Guided retail/store tours
  • Access to shared pavilion storage and prep kitchen (fridge, electric oven, prep counter)

Admin Fee: $500 per company (non-refundable)

Optional Consultant Support (separate cost): Enhanced B2B targeting and additional curated meetings are available through an optional consultant package.

 

2) Walking Programme (up to 5 companies)

Includes:

  • Participation in virtual market briefing
  • Participation in in-person briefing (the day before the show)
  • Retail/store tours with market insights (the day before the show)
  • Visitor badge

Not included: exhibitor badges, counter/booth space, access to the Canada Pavilion meeting space.

 

Participants cover all costs associated with travel such as airfare, accommodation and meals, as well as shipping of samples, insurance, and incidentals.

PROGRAM SCHEDULE

  • Pre-show (virtual): Briefing on market entry, pricing expectations, buyer norms, logistics.
  • Day 0, Monday (Guadalajara): TCS briefing + retail/store tours; pavilion setup for co-exhibitors.
  • Show Days (Tuesday - Thursday): Co‑exhibitors staff counters and attend B2B meetings; Walking Program participants explore the floor and attend programming.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Have a head office or be registered in B.C.
  • Market products produced, processed*, or manufactured in B.C.
  • Have an established market within Canada
  • Be currently exporting or ready to export, with adequate financial, personnel, and production capacity

Participants will also be required to:

  • Sign an Exhibitor Release and Waiver of Liability
  • Provide high-level post-show feedback (sales, meetings, deals)
  • Have a staff member present in the booth for the duration of the show

*B.C. processed food is any food, seafood, or beverage product processed and packaged in B.C. with more than 85% of its main ingredients produced in B.C. If main ingredients are not available in sufficient quantities within the province, the product must still be processed and packaged entirely in B.C.*

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Due to limited booth space, participants will be selected through a review process that considers:

  • Product alignment with target market preferences
  • Frequency of past participation in B.C.-sponsored exhibition booths
  • Company sales performance in previous sponsored events
  • Applicants will be notified shortly after the deadline if space has been reserved

*B.C. processed food is any food, seafood, or beverage product processed and packaged in B.C. with more than 85% of its main ingredients produced in B.C. If main ingredients are not available in sufficient quantities within the province, the product must still be processed and packaged entirely in B.C.*
