The event is all about bringing together researchers, academics, and industry folks from across Ireland and Northern Ireland to see how we can collaborate.

The second day will be focused on a workshop regarding the ‘Challenges and Barriers of Data Sharing’. This is in relation to funding the DAFNI programme has received from the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
DSIT are undertaking a pilot initiative to address the barriers and opportunities to data sharing. The overall objective of this activity is to test and understand the need for a national research cloud through a series of pilot studies, including ours.
The results of these pilots will inform a future funding case for further investment by government. We are looking to collect evidence within this workshop and would love for Ireland and Northern Ireland to be involved. DSIT will be in attendance too.
This workshop is going to being facilitated by the Digital Curation Centre. Please come and join us and have you opinions heard!
