National Meeting

The Global Ties U.S. National Meeting is the premier annual event in international exchange and public diplomacy. Held in Washington, DC, the National Meeting gathers 600+ participants to share insights on U.S. foreign policy priorities, develop best practices in international exchange, and highlight the role of public diplomacy programs like the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in showcasing American excellence, advancing U.S. interests abroad, and strengthening our communities here at home.

2026 is a celebratory year, and the Global Ties U.S. 2026 National Meeting will focus on the theme: America at 250, elevating the leadership and impact of the nationwide Global Ties Network as the national infrastructure for citizen diplomacy in the United States.
