About the Conference
Join us for the NICHE 2027 Annual Conference: Nurses Achieving Age-Friendly Excellence, taking place March 18–19, 2027, at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing in New York City.
This two-day conference brings together nurses, healthcare leaders, educators, and researchers to exchange ideas, share practical solutions, and advance age-friendly care for older adults.
This year's conference will explore the Age-Friendly Health Systems 4Ms framework alongside emerging topics in dementia and delirium care, geriatric emergency and surgical care, healthcare technology and AI, community engagement, and long-term care.
Through expert presentations, clinical innovations, and shared experiences, we hope to inspire meaningful improvements in the care of older adults across healthcare settings.
Abstract Submission Categories
We welcome abstracts highlighting innovative practices, research, and quality improvement initiatives that advance age-friendly care. Submissions should align with one of the following four categories:
1. Age-Friendly Health Systems & the 4Ms
Implementation, quality improvement, and CMS Age-Friendly Hospital measures.
2. Geriatric Emergency & Surgical Care
Geriatric ED practices, surgical pathways, and specialized clinical care.
3. Technology, AI & Innovation
AI-assisted clinical tools, predictive analytics, educational innovations, and digital health solutions.
4. Community Engagement & Care Transitions
Community partnerships, care coordination, and transitions across healthcare settings.
Call for Abstracts
We invite nurses, educators, researchers, clinical leaders, and healthcare professionals to share their research, quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practices, and innovations advancing age-friendly care.
Submissions are now being accepted across four conference categories.
Submission Deadline: Monday, November 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.
Authors can submit abstracts for Featured Podium or Lightning Podium. Final presentation formats will be determined by the conference planning committee.
