Accelerating the understanding, prevention and management of cardiometabolic diseases

The Global Science Summit 2026 will bring together leading scientists, decision-makers, funders, patient organisations and global health innovators to explore bold, scalable solutions to cardiometabolic diseases. The programme will explore shifting global health patterns and the rising burden of cardiometabolic diseases, the role of AI, digital technologies, health data, and therapeutic interventions in accelerating prevention and care, and the challenges and opportunities for scaling equitable, real-world solutions.

This year’s summit will take place at the Rox Resort in Køge, Denmark — a venue just 30 minutes south of Copenhagen. The first Global Science Summit was held in 2024 in Elsinore, Denmark to mark the Novo Nordisk Foundation’s centenary. Convening 200 participants from around the world to address the intersection of climate change, infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases, the milestone event featured keynote contributions from global leaders including Bill Gates and Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, alongside experts from the Global South and leading research institutions. Delegates subsequently praised the summit’s collaborative spirit and the valuable connections formed, laying a strong foundation for the ambitions for the 2026 summit.
