The Cornell Net Carbohydrate and Protein System (CNCPS) was developed to predict requirements, feed utilization, animal performance and nutrient excretion for dairy and beef cattle using accumulated knowledge about feed composition, digestion, and metabolism in supplying nutrients to meet requirements. Version 6.5 was released in March 2015 and features many new upgrades and significant changes to the feed library, feed chemistry, and function of the model. Due to significant changes to the feed library, feed chemistry, and function of the model, farm files created in previous versions of the program cannot be used in the current version 6.5.

CNCPS v6.5.5 is available for research and teaching purposes through the Center for Technology Licensing (CTL). Usage fees apply to support the ongoing development and maintenance of CNCPS.
Beginning October 1, 2024, all CNCPS users must request access to the platform through CTL by completing the interest form below. Once the form is submitted, a user agreement will be initiated. Upon execution of the agreement, users will be given access to the installation file.
