The IIA Chicago Chapter invites you to the Managers’ Forum event, Auditing for Disruption: Strengthening Operational and Third-Party Risk Resilience with Crowe

Training Description

Traditional third-party risk audits often focus on governance, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and contractual compliance. But do these assessments provide sufficient assurance that critical business operations can withstand and recover from a disruption?

As organizations become increasingly dependent on external providers, Internal Audit has an opportunity to move beyond evaluating controls to challenging how effectively the business can respond when those control or critical third parties fail.

In this engaging Managers' Forum, we will explore how Internal Audit can bring an operational resilience mindset to Third-Party Risk Management audits. Through practical examples and discussion, participants will explore how to:

· Identify critical dependencies: Look beyond vendor risk ratings to understand which third-party relationships could significantly disrupt critical business operations.

· Challenge resilience assumptions: Evaluate disruption scenarios, recovery capabilities, and whether business continuity plans are realistic and actionable.

· Enhance audit execution: Incorporate resilience-focused questions and testing approaches into existing TPRM audits without reinventing the audit program.

· Deliver more meaningful insights: Move beyond control deficiencies to communicate where operational vulnerabilities could threaten business continuity.

Join fellow Internal Audit Managers for a practical discussion on how to challenge traditional audit approaches, ask better questions, and provide greater assurance over organizational resilience and third party risk management.
