"Take the path to certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners”

Register Early! Space Is Limited To 35 Participants

Current statistics indicate more than 7 million Americans are currently living with Alzheimer’s Disease; this number is expected to nearly double by the year 2060. The cost of providing health care and long-term care to individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias is projected to rise to approximately 409 BILLION in 2026 alone. These costs will also increase as the population continues to age, and the prevalence of dementia grows. The only way to provide successful dementia care is to understand the processes of dementia as a whole, and the significance behind dementia related behavior expressions, both of which begin with understanding the PERSON before the DIAGNOSIS.

The newly redesigned Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar is now recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association for successfully incorporating evidenced based dementia care practice recommendations into multiple modules. Providers who purchase and train their staff with the ADDC seminar are now not only eligible to seek certification for the distinguished “CDP” title but are also able to purchase the Alzheimer’s Association essentiALZ certification (which is valid for two years).

Target Audience:

This course is open to all health care professionals who work in community living settings providing assistance to individuals living with dementia – from Administrators, DONs, Social Service Directors and Activity Directors, to nurses, therapists, and C.N.A.s, as well as any other and front-line care partners – all are welcome!

Evidence based, person-centered dementia care practices will be discussed in a variety of modules including, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Introduction and Overview of Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia: Diagnosis and Treatment;
  • NCCDP’s Guiding Principles; Compassionate Communication;
