Join us for a three-day hands-on course that prepares you for all aspects of fiber optic cable installation in a local area network environment. Both multimode and single-mode fiber types are covered. Cable placement, fusion and mechanical splicing, cable termination (connector installation and pigtail splicing), and acceptance testing are taught with extensive hands-on practice. Build, test, and troubleshoot complete single-mode and multimode systems in this class. Also covered is the use of equipment, hardware and procedures pertaining to building distribution and campus applications.
Light breakfast and lunch will be provided during each session. Students will be provided resource materials and any tools and consumables needed to complete classroom hands-on exercises.
Students are eligible for 21 BICSI continuing education credits. Certificate of completion must be submitted to BICSI for credit.
The cost per student to attend the Corning Fiber Installation Training is $1,500.00 USD.
