Update to Health and Safety COVID Guidelines for the MSCHE 2022 Annual Conference
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is looking forward to coming together in person for the MSCHE 2022 Annual Conference Empowering Higher Education in Philadelphia, PA, from December 7-9, 2022.
The evolving guidance and changing environment related to COVID-19 has given us an opportunity to reevaluate the Conference's Health and Safety COVID Guidelines. After careful consideration of a review of guidance from the City of Philadelphia, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), MSCHE will no longer require attendees at the MSCHE 2022 Annual Conference to provide proof of vaccination or a negative test prior to attending.
By attending the Annual Conference, attendees are expected to take personal responsibility and act in the best interests of their health and the health of others who are in attendance by following CDC recommendations on measures to reduce the spread of infection from COVID-19.
While the City of Philadelphia strongly recommends wearing masks in indoor public settings, at this time, there is no masking requirement in the City of Philadelphia or at the hotel facility. As such, MSCHE has not adopted a masking requirement for the Conference. All attendees should make the determination as to whether or not to wear a mask based on their own health requirements or in the interest of others. All attendees are expected to respect an individual's choice whether or not to wear a mask.
MSCHE’s Health and Safety COVID Guidelines are subject to change based on any new requirements or guidance by the hotel facility, City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department of Health, or CDC. Attendees will be notified of any changes via email.
