childcare/Youth program
Welcome to an exciting journey at the 2025 Biennial Mission Summit! We are dedicated to creating a safe and engaging environment for children and young people of all ages. From our lively nursery for infants and toddlers to our dynamic summer camp experience for older children and youth, we have a variety of engaging activities planned. Our volunteers will undergo a background check and complete an Awareness Training and Prevention course to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Get ready for an unforgettable experience filled with fun, learning, and new friendships!
Baby/Toddler Care (6 weeks-3 years old):
The nursery will be available for children 6 weeks-3 years of age. The nursery will be a safe space where they can play and have a space just for them. They’ll dive into a world of playful activities, laughter, and discovery while you enjoy all the action at the Biennial Mission Summit!
Child Care (Ages 4-14):
Children 4-14 years old will have the opportunity to meet with the ABCUSA National partners, participate in a local mission project, and be entertained through church camp-style fun. Our camp counselors will provide a safe space for the youth to learn about God, sing together, make new friends, see the community aspect of the ABCUSA coming together, and serve others through missions.
High School Youth
A cohort-based learning community designed specifically for middle and high school youth will foster their growth as Christian leaders within their churches, communities, and the American Baptist Churches (ABC) family. Youth will deepen their faith alongside their peers with Bible studies, games, onsite activities, service projects, and interactions with ABCUSA ministry partners. The program addresses critical youth questions identified by the Fuller Youth Institute's "Three Big Questions" centered around identity, community, and purpose. Youth will also engage in intergenerational workshops, worship services, and shared meals, all within the supportive environment of their mentor-led youth-specific cohort that builds lasting relationships with fellow American Baptist youth. This experience encourages spiritual growth, leadership development, and a lifelong commitment to faith in action.
