PLC+ Certification Training!

The PLC+ Certification is a two-day professional learning experience focused on enhancing team effectiveness, analyzing student learning data, and activating teacher leadership. Participants will engage in updated protocols such as the Common Challenge Protocol and Data Analysis Protocol while reflecting on indicators of effective PLCs. Key topics include Teacher Clarity, team dynamics, and selecting evidence based strategies. The certification culminates in peer-led teach-backs, equipping participants with tools and confidence to facilitate PLC+ work at their sites.

Participants will leave with a toolbox of resources, protocols, and practical strategies to help leverage the potential and maximize the impact of their professional learning communities.

PLEASE NOTE: As this certification is a more advanced training on how to teach back the concepts of PLC+, Corwin will require each participant to engage in a handful of pre-work activities such as watching videos, reading book excerpts, and/or blogs and articles prior to attending the certification event. It will be imperative that you understand the basic foundational concepts of PLC+ to successfully become certified in this work. Details on accessing the pre-work will be provided prior to the training. There will also be a homework assignment on the first night of the training that participants will need to complete and be prepared to discuss on the second day of training.

• A copy of Your Introduction to  PLC+ Book & PLC+: A Playbook for Instructional Leaders, 50 Strategies for Activating Your PLC+.
• Editable PPTs and video created exclusively for certified trainers
• Access to the PLC+ certified trainer portal that will house all supplementary resources and provide a streamlined means of communication between the Thought Leaders, Corwin and the certified trainers
• Regular newsletters and updates to the content and resources.

Registration Price: $2,975

Must be employed by a School System, County Office of Education or
Education Service Agency to participate.

The PLC+ Certification license is good for three years from the date of the training and is eligible for renewal.

Learning Intentions:

• We are learning about the PLC+ framework, its 5 driving questions and 4 crosscutting values.
• We are learning how to use the PLC+ framework to support and strengthen current PLC structures.

Success Criteria:

• I can determine how to use the PLC+ framework to leverage collective teacher efficacy.
• I can identify processes that support PLC’s develop clarity for learning.
• I can evaluate learning intentions and success criteria for quality.
• I can identify strategies that support PLC’s determine a common challenge.
• I can determine ways to support PLC’s in evidence-based decision making.
• I can identify strategies that support the learning of the PLC+ team members.
• I can determine how to use the PLC+ framework to address equity and ensure high expectations.
• I can analyze data looking at student progress and achievement.
• I can identify strategies that strengthen the role of an activator.
• I can design professional learning experiences for peers that increases their knowledge of PLC+.
