Certificate Overview
The Babson Academy Youth Impact Lab’s Certificate in Youth Entrepreneurship Education Program provides middle and high school teachers and youth development professionals with the content and pedagogical approach to help your students become entrepreneurial leaders in their communities.
The professional development program will be offered as a 6-week fully online program during Fall 2026. The course will begin on Wednesday, November 4 and close on Wednesday, December 9, 2026.
Participants will graduate on December 9, 2026 and receive their Certificates.
This professional development certificate program is anchored in Babson’s EPIC (Entrepreneurship Program for Innovators and Changemakers) curriculum which teaches young people Babson’s renowned Entrepreneurial Thought & Action® mindset. EPIC helps students develop the skills to understand why the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development matter and inspires them to apply their learning to address a local or regional problem connected to a Global Goal they care about most.
During the six-week online certificate program, you will:
- Learn how to empower young changemakers through entrepreneurship
- Receive coaching on how to deliver key entrepreneurship concepts to your students
- Get an educators’ toolkit that supports your ability to teach entrepreneurship
- Improve student success in your classroom/program
- Make a significant impact on future generations’ efforts towards a more equitable and sustainable world
- Participate in asynchronous and synchronous teaching through Babson’s online learning management system and weekly live webinars (2.5 hours)
- Learn individually and through peer engagement with a team comprised of peers from around the world
- Become a lifetime member of a Community of Practice, where you can exchange ideas and insights with your peers
Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate from the Babson Academy Youth Impact Lab and 40 professional development points (PDPs), continuing education credits, as approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
Your school or youth organization will have the option to license the EPIC curriculum so certified teachers and youth leaders can help their students unlock their potential. In addition, you will become members of the Youth Entrepreneurship Education Community of Practice – a network of like-minded youth educators and youth development professionals.
Taking this program is a requirement for licensing the EPIC curriculum, however, the program is designed so that you can derive value, gain core skills, increase your understanding of entrepreneurial concepts and learn how to integrate them into how you teach any other subject or course. There is no requirement that educators who take this course commit to license or teach EPIC.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The EPIC curriculum can only be licensed to schools and youth education NGOs/Non-profits for internal non-commercial purposes. If you have any questions about this, please email youthimpactlab@babson.edu
