Summary

A comprehensive, 3-day program designed for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who have attended the Prerequisite Quality Care Workshop. This course is based on Australian professional practice standards, assisting attendees in understanding, and implementing these standards in the practice of pharmacy compounding. We will explore how compounding can be a valuable tool to help solve medication problems of both human and animal patients as well as techniques to grow your compounding practice.

 This course is ideal for:

  • New PCCA members and their staff who have completed the Quality Care Workshop (Prerequisite)
  • Pharmacists who have not attended formal compounding training, but have attended the Quality Care Workshop
  • Pharmacists who have not attended training in the last 5 years
  • Pharmacists who require compounding training as part of their Annual CPD plan
  • Pharmacy Technicians (Technicians do not have to have completed the prerequisite virtual Quality Care Workshop)

This activity has been accredited for 14.75 hours of Group 1 CPD (or 14.75 CPD credits) suitable for inclusion in an individual pharmacist’s CPD plan which can be converted to 14.75 hours of Group 2 CPD (or 29.5 CPD credits) upon successful completion of relevant assessment activities.
