Morning Session: Skills for Transforming Conflict
Conflict is a constant in our world. It is a common and inevitable aspect of work inside our organizations and with the public. With intentionality, conflict can be a powerful opportunity for growth and change. Equip yourself with the mindsets, communications skills, and practices to manage conflict productively. In this session, you will experience plenty of peer-to-peer discussion and learn practical strategies you can use as soon as you leave the room.
Afternoon session: Designing collaborative processes for reaching agreement
Collaborative problem-solving is a systematic approach for finding workable shared solutions to complex challenges for parties with different views and interests. In this session, you will use the Office of Collaboration and Dispute Resolution’s five-step collaborative problem-solving model to design a conflict resolution process that meets the unique needs of a challenge you are facing and get helpful feedback from OCDR trainers and other participants in the room.
