Course Description
Modern digital treatment software gives us the ability to design aligner treatment with precise force systems to push teeth efficiently and effectively. Integrating CBCT into our digital simulations allows for planning our treatment with roots and bone at the forefront. This presentation will outline the interplay between different forces acting on teeth and explain how modern aligner planning and staging software can optimize these forces. Various cases will be discussed to illustrate staging strategies, the use of integrated CBCT, aligner trim-line alternatives, and attachment utilization.
Learning Objectives
1. Recognize the difference between synergistic and antagonistic forces and learn how modern aligner staging software optimizes the timing of these forces
2. Explore the use of integrated CBCT to allow for the visualization of both root movement and bony limitations during aligner planning
3. Learn the advantages of using a fully user-modifiable aligner planning and staging platform
