About this Virtual Training
Admission liaisons play a critical role in inpatient rehabilitation, and they must have the knowledge and skills to effectively complete a comprehensive preadmission screen. If you want to invest in the professional development of your liaisons and promote the success of your facility, have them sign up for the UDSMR® Admission Liaison Workshop.
This comprehensive, interactive virtual program provides admission liaisons with the tools they need to sharpen their skills, as well as rigorous training that includes a detailed review of Medicare’s preadmission screen requirements and the referral process. It also explains how to provide clear documentation that supports the appropriateness of the patient’s admission and emphasizes the importance of the liaison’s role in marketing and census development. The program’s multiple breakout sessions will reinforce the use of new tools and shared knowledge. Through short vignettes and interactive discussions, participants will strengthen their ability to complete a comprehensive preadmission screen.
Upon completing the program, participants may choose to take the online UDSMR® Admission Liaison Certification Exam in the month following the workshop, to defer testing for up to one year or to opt out of the exam.
