As Lithium ion battery packs scaled-up in size from our portable Consumer Electronics devices into hybrid cars, BEVs, home power backup, and then into grid-scale Battery Electrical Storage Systems (BESS), scale economies & the learning curve have opened opportunities for the role of these big battery systems to radically change mobility and grid-scale energy systems.
Battery prices per kWh continue their aggressive decline, falling by 82% between 2013 and 2023 [BNEF], and continuing down since. This deflationary trend opened the door for investment and innovation which is yielding a diverse range of chemistries and form factors that are radically altering both mobility and the stationary power grid.
We are currently witnessing a diversification of the market where "one size fits all" no longer applies. Companies looking for energy storage solutions now have a range of choices among various battery types. For instance, the rise of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) for stationary storage and mid-range EVs is being complemented by high-performance nickel-rich chemistries, and let’s not forget the steady march toward solid-state architectures. Or Sodium Ion batteries, which offer myriad benefits for stationary systems, and use much more readily available minerals.
As good as the chemistry advances have been, we’ve also seen phenomenal progress in BMS technology, manufacturing quality controls, charging rates, thermal management, packaging, and all these ancillary technologies that keep the chemistry working optimally and safely.

Our public meetings are open to onsite and online attendees. The 4-hour agenda includes an industry overview, an expert panel, tech demos and startup pitches, with 2 networking breaks to connect with members, attendees and speakers before wrapping up with lunch and demos for in-person attendees.
Attendees leave our meetings having learned about the state of innovation, discovered many, game-changing startups, reviewed new technologies, and met industry colleagues who are also moving the needle in vehicle connectivity. Plus, for our onsite attendees, a handful of business cards and interesting lunch conversations.
Agenda includes several 5-minute pitches to introduce startups and new technologies.
Meeting Tables will be available to presenters who wish to demo their product or service to our audience in a private networking space.
Agendas are filled 4 weeks before the meeting with priority going to in-person speakers based on relevance, fit, and innovation.
