Penn State Scranton Athletics is excited to host the James D. Gallagher Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Pocono Farms Country Club in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania.
Participants and sponsors will have the opportunity to support Penn State Scranton student-athletes while enjoying a day on one of the region's most scenic golf courses. The cost is $125 per golfer or $450 per foursome.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Penn State Scranton Athletics and its 13 varsity programs, including:
- Men's and Women's Golf
- Men's and Women's Cross Country
- Men's and Women's Track & Field
- Men's and Women's Soccer
- Men's and Women's Basketball
- Women's Volleyball
- Baseball
- Softball
Funds raised will help supplement team needs and enhance the student-athlete experience. Support from this event will contribute to team travel expenses, including spring break trips and national competitions, as well as renovations and improvements to athletic facilities.
Penn State Scranton Athletics invites golfers, sponsors, and prize donors to help make this event a success while supporting local student-athletes.
Tournament Schedule
8:30 - 9:45 a.m. – Registration and Breakfast
10:00 a.m. – Shotgun Start
3:00 p.m. – Post-Tournament Awards Luncheon
Sponsorship Opportunities
Sponsorship opportunities are available through the Penn State Scranton Athletics Department. Sponsors may be eligible for a charitable tax deduction for federal income tax purposes on a portion of their contribution. The deductible amount is generally limited to the portion of the contribution that exceeds the fair market value of any goods or services received.
