Advances in Neurogenetics: Diagnostics, Therapeutics, and Clinical Applications

This conference will bring together leading experts, researchers, and clinicians to explore the latest advancements in neurogenetics, from cutting-edge research to clinical applications. Through educational sessions, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, we aim to provide a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange in this rapidly evolving field.

Upon conclusion of this activity, participants will be better able to: 

1. Summarize the role of neurogenetics in clinical practice. 

2. List the benefits and limitations of commonly used and novel genetic tests, and recognize the appropriate genetic testing options for different patient populations.  

3. Examine ethical, legal, and social implications of neurogenetic testing, including the unique considerations for genetic counseling for predictive genetic testing for neurodegenerative disorders.  

4. Identify tools and resources to assist in interpreting genetic testing results, including emerging technologies and techniques used for variant resolution.  

5. Describe the landscape of precision treatment development for neurogenetic disorders, including examples of genetic-targeted therapies in the pre-clinical, clinical trial and FDA-approved stages.
