50th and Golden Lions Reunion and Commencement Weekend

You are invited back to the bluff to celebrate your reunion and the Golden Lion Induction for the Class of 1976, before you process together for LMU Commencement.
On Friday, join fellow classmates for an afternoon of reunion and celebration as we recognize the newly inducted Golden Lions. This event will feature remarks from President Thomas Poon, Ph.D., special tributes, and time to reconnect with friends.
After your reunion, all Golden Lions and guests are warmly invited to attend additional Commencement programming on Friday and Saturday. To learn more about being a Golden Lion, visit our website.
Note: Golden Lions are welcome to participate in Commencement weekend festivities without attending the Golden Lion Reunion on Friday.
50th and Golden Lions Reunion

Attire: Daytime cocktail
Tickets: $130/person through April 30 (price increases to $145 on May 1)
Tickets include hors d'oeuvres, hosted bar, plated lunch, a scenic view of the marina, complimentary valet parking, and an induction ceremony to welcome the 50-year alumni into the Golden Lions.

Commencement Activities
Commencement Mass
Friday, May 15, 2026 | 5:30–7 p.m.
Gather with students, families, and the LMU community at large to worship and pray together on the eve of Commencement exercises.
Leadership Reception
Saturday, May 16, 2026 | 8–9:30 a.m.
Join parents and university leadership for this private reception in celebration of the Class of 2026.
Undergraduate Commencement
Saturday, May 16, 2026 | 10 a.m.
Golden Lions are invited to lead the Class of 2026 procession at Commencement, a cherished tradition and reminder of the lifelong relationship alumni have with LMU. Following the Leadership Reception, you will receive a Commencement gown and Golden Lions stole before you lead graduates through Sunken Garden for the ceremony. While you process, your guest will be invited to watch the LMU Commencement livestream with the LMU Alumni and Family Engagement team.
