The PI meeting will begin at 8:30am on July 23 and end by 5:30pm on July 24, 2026. The goal is to build synergies and realign, when appropriate, the ASCR-QIS portfolio toward the first of a kind capability for the Nation in fault-tolerant quantum computing. The intention for the 2026 ASCR-QIS PI meeting is to reflect on the rapidly changing QIS landscape in the context of the DOE Office of Science mission needs and facilitate discussions and interactions among the PIs to optimize the probability of success of all projects.

In person registration is required for workshop participants. Follow the link in the email you will receive for this meeting to complete the process. There will not be a discounted registration fee for attending multiple of the Applied Math, Computer Science, and/or Quantum Information Science PI meetings held the week of July 20-24, 2026.

The registration fee is $200 and includes continental breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks on both days. If you are a DOE employee or local federal employee, you will not pay the registration fee but will be able to purchase breakfast or lunch on site or during registration.

Plenary sessions, if any, will be streamed via Zoom for those wanting to view them. Virtual registration is required to stream any plenary sessions and can be completed by clicking the "Virtual Attendance Registration" button and completing the form. Do not register for virtual attendance if you are attending in person.
