Message From the Chair

Welcome to the Family Medicine Innovation Forum!

It is a privilege to serve as Chair of a program that celebrates the innovators and change agents working to improve health care across Alberta. After a successful inaugural year, we are proud to continue this momentum into 2026. This forum brings together frontline clinicians, entrepreneurs, researchers, government officials, and health system leaders for one purpose: advancing better solutions for patients and providers.

While we may not agree on every solution, many of us agree on one reality—the status quo is not sustainable. Health care needs courageous leadership, bold ideas, and a willingness to challenge long-held assumptions.

The Family Medicine Innovation Forum provides a unique space to share ideas, learn from one another, and build the partnerships needed to create meaningful change. Speaking as an innovator who derived tremendous value from last year's program, I am proud to welcome you to this conversation and look forward to the innovations and collaborations that will emerge from it.
