COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Centrum's Jazz Port Townsend Workshop is open to instrumentalists and singers high school-aged and above. Approximately 200 participants focus on developing improvisational skills in a small group setting in addition to attending master classes and performances each day given by over 30 world-class faculty, all hand picked by Artistic Director John Clayton. The week culminates in a series of concerts in which all participants have an opportunity to perform.

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO REGISTER:

  • IN-PERSON

$835 tuition includes all workshop activities and concerts. Auditions are required. Visit our Jazz Port Townsend Auditions page  for instructions. Financial aid is available; you may apply as part of the registration process.

Update 6/8/22: Registration is still open, but housing is available only for Piano, Guitar and Vocal. All other instruments are welcome to apply if you can arrange your own housing. We have less housing available than usual this year—our apologies for any inconvenience.

Room and Board Fees (optional): $600, dorm and all meals, or $520, dorm with lunch and dinner only. Meal plans: $220-$300.

Airport charter bus: $120 round trip or $60 one-way.

Refund policy: A $200 deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable unless you've applied for financial aid and are unable to attend because we cannot award your full request. If your audition is not accepted you will receive a full refund. Final payment is due by May 20, 2022. No refunds are available after May 20, 2022.
