Counselor Bios
Crossroads Counseling Group is a private practice counseling, coaching and consulting group serving the Central Ohio community and beyond since 2002. Our team has many decades of combined clinical expertise covering a wide range of specialty areas. The staff at Crossroads has a shared commitment to clinical excellence, professionalism and service from a Biblical worldview. We consider it an honor and privilege to work with people - often during important, challenging and vulnerable times in their lives. Vivian Brown earned her Master of Arts in Education and Allied Professions with a major in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Dayton. She is licensed by the State of Ohio as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is under the clinical supervision of Kathryn Wisne, LPCC-S. Vivian counsels adults and couples helping them navigate a wide range of challenges. She seeks to guide her clients towards healing, health and a Godly life. For over twenty years, she has also served as Co-Pastor for a congregation in Columbus Ohio with her husband Dr. Norman Brown. Vivian is an active member of her community and has lead and served in a variety of roles to improve lives and strengthen faith where ever she is.
Sarah Schweisthal completed her Bachelor of Arts in Comparative World Religions through Miami University (Ohio), and received her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Kairos University. Sarah is licensed in Ohio as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She is under the clinical supervision of Greg Schad, LISW-S, IMFT-S. Sarah has over 20 years of experience working in full time camps and community based ministry in partnership with her husband Carl. She enjoys working with families, couple and individuals. Sarah is trained in EMDR and holds certification in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level One. As a therapist she utilizes an experiential, strengths based approach and strives to create an atmosphere of compassion and curiosity with her clients.
Greg Schad received a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. He is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (Supervisor) and is also licensed as an Independent Marriage and Family Therapist (Supervisor) by the State of Ohio. He has many years of experience working with individuals, couples and families in a variety of settings including churches, schools, hospitals, corporations, and community mental health. Greg also has significant experience providing teaching and training for a variety of audiences on topics related to relationships as well as mental health. Greg serves as Executive Director for Crossroads Counseling Group.
