Giveaways

Due to hotel rules, exhibitors cannot bring any outside food or beverage, including giveaways (candy, water bottles, etc.) into the event space.

The American Public Gardens Association will not assume any responsibility for the damage or loss of any merchandise or items brought into the hotel. Security can be arranged through our preferred contract security company at their current prevailing rates.

Attendee List Email Scam

Unfortunately, emails offering to sell Attendee Lists from our Annual Conference are often sent by scammers impersonating Association staff or a third-party vendor working on our behalf. If you receive emails that propose to sell the 2027 Conference Attendee Lists, do not engage with the sender and delete the email. The Association does not rent or sell email lists to third parties.

Hotel Booking Scam

Conferences, including ours, can also be the target of hotel scams. Scammers call or email attendees and exhibitors, claiming to represent the Association and encourage customers to book rooms using fake promotion codes at a variety of hotels close to the conference venue(s). The Association and our established host hotel will never send emails or place phone calls to individuals in order to promote specific accommodations. Any and all legitimate messages to attendees will direct them to the Conference’s hotel information page, where attendees will find secure links to our approved hotel(s).
