WELCOME

The conference includes a 2-Day, Steam Turbine, Generator & Auxiliary Systems Workshop, a 2-Evening Technology Fair, presentations from each major OEM, peer-to-peer round table forums, highlights of recent operating experience and outage challenges, and subject matter expert training.

The workshop will include topical presentations and discussions on current industry challenges and strategies for improving steam turbine and generator asset performance in fossil and nuclear power plants.

Generator & Auxiliary topics will include: stator endwinding bracing, generator case histories, isolated phase bus, generator rotors, CTs, PTs and circuit breakers, AVR and bushing case histories, stator core horizontal restack development and execution, and auxiliaries or grid discussions, along with much more!

Steam Turbine topics include main steam valve operation, steam turbine investigations and repairs, fluid systems, recent outage experience, special repairs & upgrades, rotor train issues, and nuclear challenges.

Following the Workshop Monday and Tuesday, TGUG members will have the opportunity for face-to-face OEM discussions based on member-submitted questions with a special topic deep-dive Wednesday evening. Thursday is the TGUG members meeting with round table discussions and member-specific operating experience. We will conclude the conference on Friday with a half-day SME training session.

Please consider presenting a case study, operating experience, or lessons learned on the above topics. The EPRI team can assist in co-presenting on any relevant research topic.

For further information on the technical program, contact Randy Steele.

NOTE: Funders of EPRI Programs 219 & 220, and TGUG will have the option to attend virtually.

ATTENDANCE BENEFITS

TGUG seeks to provide a venue for EPRI and its members to establish and share recent learnings that pertain to fossil, nuclear, and combined-cycle operation and maintenance in the form of technical presentations, round-table discussions, expert trainings, and networking opportunities with our peers in industry.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Funders of Programs 219, 220, and TGUG, as well as other members of EPRI, utility managers, engineers, manufacturers, engineering consultants, maintenance technicians, operators, system owners, and research scientists dedicated to improving operations, performance, and maintenance of fossil, nuclear, and combined-cycle steam turbines and generators, with a focus on not only learning, but also sharing experiences. TGUG welcomes those new to the industry as well as those with decades of experience.
