Big Ten and Friends Utility Conference
at the University of Virginia
The University of Virginia will host hundreds of campus operations leaders and business partners for the 2026 Big Ten and Friends Utility Conference.
This event will provide a unique opportunity for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of innovative ideas among top professionals in the field. Attendees will have the chance to participate in a variety of workshops, panel discussions, and presentations designed to address the most pressing challenges and opportunities in campus utility operations.
Keynote Speaker - Carlos M. Brown
Carlos M. Brown is executive vice president, chief administrative and projects officer, and corporate secretary of Dominion Energy. In addition, he serves as president–Dominion Energy Services.
He oversees the corporate services provided to Dominion Energy’s operating companies, including information technology, security, real estate, facilities, and supply chain management as well as environmental services and sustainability. In addition, he is responsible for all major generation, environmental and corporate construction projects. He also serves as the corporate secretary for Dominion Energy’s Board of Directors.
Brown serves as rector on the board of visitors at the University of Virginia and is a member of its Law School Foundation board of trustees. He also chairs the board of trustees at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, and serves as a board member of the Dominion Energy Credit Union and Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Company.
